$10 a Day

I was just reading a (reegsta) blog from my blog reading list. It was about how beneficial it is to track where your money goes. So weird - during my drive home from USSD last night, I was thinking about what I can do to eliminate unnecessary spending. What a co-in-ki-dink, right? I confess. Quicken hasn't been fully updated in months! It's been seriously collecting electronic dust and cobwebs. My plans for this weekend will include retroactively reconciling my bank accounts. Nothing can be more exciting than tracking my spending backwards. Whoohoo! [full of sarcasm] This will definitely be a challenge. Let's hope I balance easily because it's every Accountant's nightmare to be even off by a penny. No write-offs here. Ha-ha! Also, beginning August 15th (my next paycheck), I will do a little bit of experimenting. I will attempt to limit my daily pocket money/dining spending to $10 a day. This will not include fixed expenses such as groceries, gas, and toll. You think it will work? I will no longer use my faded and worn out Debit card. My spending habits this year was just straight crazy. It's time to calm down in that department.
