My Three Different Looks

So, I've chosen (3) different looks for my upcoming photo-shoot:
  • #1: 40s/50s pin-up girl - corset and all...
  •  #2: Maxim type look (recommended by Michael Vincent). It has to be tasteful, not trashy.
  •  #3: Plain Tomboy: I like wearing mens clothes, so I figure bust out some old school striped tube socks and a wife-beater. I'm actually also thinking of sporting a Donovan McNabb football jersey for all them haters...hahah! That or a San Francisco 49ers one to rep the Bay Area.
My ideas may change...but we'll see.

Working on My Weight Loss

So far, I've lost about 5 lbs. Only 15 lbs. to go!! I've been attending Bootcamp SF for about 3 weeks now. Pretty impressed with my results so far. Now that I think of it, I should have taken a "Before" picture of me. Oh well!!

Finally, booked my hotel stay for L.A. I decided to bring my younger sister, Ryree with me for moral support. I joked with her and said I'll be Vanessa Simmons and she can be Angela Simmons for the day. I guess you won't get it unless you watched the episode of 'Run's House' on MTV when Vanessa posed for FHM. hehe! We'll be staying at the Tower Beverly Hills hotel. I'm so excited. We'll be living the 'Hills' life for a couple days. Hmm, I wonder if we'll see Lauren Conrad, Heidi Montag, or Audrina Patridge. Ryree and I will be planning on visiting some of the reality show's popular landmark like, Le Deux, Geisha House. And of course, we'll definitely swing by Rodeo Drive and the famous Hollywood Hills!

My focus right now is working out and eating right. I need to look decent for this special event.

The Phone Call

OMG! So I'm on the computer and then I get a call from an unknown number on my cell phone with an area code 310. I knew it was L.A. because I used to work with people down south at my prior company. I didn't answer it. I hate it when I don't know who it is. I sat there hoping that they'd leave a voice mail. A minute later, I get a voice mail notification. I listened to it right away. It was some chick named Tal B. She got my inquiry and wanted to speak with me about doing a photo shoot! WHAAAAAT?! I was sitting in my sister's room while listening to her message. My heart was beating so fast! I kept my excitement all to myself. But if you knew me, that wouldn't last very long. I had a hard time keeping a straight face and just started giggling. My sister then kept on questioning me - "Who was it that called?" I didn't want to tell her. I kept telling her, she'll find out eventually. I went to my room to call Tal B back. I was so nervous. She answered and sounded so sweet. Basically, her and Michael saw my inquiry and looked at my myspace profile. They were interested in working with me. I, of course agreed and told her I'm so excited to do this. She explained the whole process and the different looks they want me to do. My favorite was a 40s pin-up model. That was sooooooo me!! I love that era! Second look was a Maxim look. WHHHAAAT?! They must have been psychic! HELLO! That's my dream! LOL! So she explained to me that I would get the entire package: Full wardrobe, make-up, and hair! YAY! So excited! Too excited that I went ahead and scheduled my first ever photo shoot. You ready? MARCH 8TH!! Yippeee!! So the diet officially begins....NOW! Thank goodness I signed up for Bootcamp SF, which btw starts tomorrow! Coincidence, you think? So weird! What a way to kick off 2008, I tell yah. Whew! The countdown to my first professional photo shoot begins...
